Akasaka ・ Private Pilates
Feel the muscle,
change the posture.
Pilates Bloom is a private Pilates studio in Akasaka, Tokyo, just behind Roppongi Midtown. Every session is one-to-one. Your instructor is a former nurse who teaches from an anatomical point of view, so you leave knowing which muscles you were working and why. Visiting Tokyo for a short stay? You are very welcome — sessions can be taught in simple English.

Founder's Story
What nursing taught me,
what Pilates lets me share
Years spent at the bedside taught me that treating and preventing matter equally. A body already in pain deserves careful attention. A body that still feels well deserves care too, because that is what protects the years ahead. Pilates answers both.
A lesson here is not simply moving until the hour is over. First you feel, in your own body, which muscle is working right now. Then we look at how to carry that awareness into ordinary life — how you sit, stand and walk — and what you can practise on your own afterwards.
I am also certified in prenatal Pilates, so expectant mothers are welcome.
Our Method
It begins with feeling
Feel
We start by finding the sensation of a muscle actually working. Understanding it in your body comes before understanding it in your head.
Apply
Next, how to use that sensation day to day — sitting, standing, walking — plus self-care you can continue wherever you are staying.
Change
When the way you use your body changes, posture follows. Above all, I hope you leave feeling lighter than when you arrived.
